Advantages of alumina ceramic nozzle blown discharge :
(1) High mechanical strength. The bending strength of alumina ceramic sintered products can reach 250Mpa, and that of hot pressed products can reach 500MPa. The strength can be maintained to 900 ℃ at high temperature
(2) High resistivity, good electrical insulation performance, room temperature resistivity 1015 Ω· cm, insulation strength 15kv/mm
(3) High hardness, Mohs hardness is 9
(4) High melting point, corrosion resistance, melting point 2050 ℃, can better resist the corrosion of be, Sr, Ni, Al, V, Ta, Mn, Fe, CO and other molten metals. It also has high resistance to the corrosion of NaOH, glass and slag. It does not interact with Si, P, Sb and Bi in inert atmosphere.
(5) Excellent chemical stability. Many complex sulfides, phosphates, arsenides, chlorides, nitrides, bromides, iodides, oxides, as well as sulfuric acid, hydrochloric acid, nitric acid and hydrofluoric acid do not interact with alumina.

Disadvantages of alumina ceramics:
Alumina ceramics have low toughness and poor thermal shock resistance, and can not withstand the sharp change of temperature. Low impact resistance, easy to break, unable to resist high pressure impact. At the same time, because of its low brittleness, its subsequent processing capacity is very weak, which is not conducive to recycling. It can only be used once.
